Menengah Mahsuri is the oldest secondary school in Langkawi.It was established
in 1964 by the of "Sekolah Lanjutan Kampung" attached known as "Sekolah
Menengah Kuah" which is temporary to new building, situated at Lot 1287
Mukim Kuah Kilometres 2 Jalan Ayer Hangat.With this transfer the school
changed its name to Sekolah Menengah Mahsuri and was officiated by the
Minister of Education Malaysia, Encik Mohd Khir Johari in 12 November 1966.
Initially
this school was classified as grade C.It was later upgraded to grade B
as from 1980 to 1985.Since 1986 it has been classified as grade A. |
